Goal
Find a location in Yakima County that met Ostrom’s specific site selection criteria.
Action
Identified multiple properties and traveled to Ostrom’s Headquarters to meet with the company in person.
Results
Ostrom’s is investing $45 million within the Yakima Valley and will create 200 jobs for local residents.

Challenge
Henningsen was storing a lot of products produced in the lower Yakima Valley in their Richland, Washington location. They were running out of space and needed to expand.
Goal
The company wanted to locate in the lower Yakima Valley to better serve their partners, clients, and local growers.
Action
YCDA helped the organization identify potential sites in the lower valley.
Results
The project, a $35 million cold storage facility with a capacity of 44 million cubic feet was completed and operational in less than 250 days.

Challenge
Northwest Harvest needed to expand its food distribution operations to better serve Central Washington through a new regional distribution center.
Goal
To find a location that met the needs of Northwest Harvest and included proximity to agricultural suppliers, centrally located in the state, and close to people they serve
Action
YCDA engaged stakeholders to help Northwest Harvest select a suitable site and identify incentives to increase project feasibility.
Results
Ultimately a 10.5-acre parcel in Yakima was selected to construct a new 200,000 square foot regional distribution center. The facility will include a grocery market to serve the local community and is expected to be operational by late 2022 and employ 60 people.
