The Yakima County Development Association, in partnership with Toppenish High School, YV-Tech and Swan Graphics, is seeking employers to participate in two upcoming Reverse Job Fairs aimed at connecting local businesses with talented individuals ready to enter the workforce.

The reverse job fairs are  Wednesday, April 30, from 3:30-5 p.m. at Toppenish High School and Thursday, May 15, from 9:15-10:45 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m. at YV Tech in Yakima.

A reverse job fair flips the traditional job fair format. Instead of businesses setting up booths, job seekers become exhibitors, showcasing their resumes, career interests and hands-on projects.

The participants host their own table, giving businesses the opportunity to walk through and connect one-on-one with individuals whose talents align with their workforce needs.

This approach allows businesses to efficiently identify promising talent, evaluate real-world skills and start building connections with future employees, especially those ready to work, train, and continue developing in their industry.

Businesses interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their spot, with employers from all industries welcome and encouraged to attend.
