What is a Reverse Job Fair? A Reverse Job Fair flips the traditional job fair format. Instead of businesses setting up booths, job seekers become exhibitors, showcasing their resumes, career interests, and hands-on projects. The participants host their own table, giving businesses the opportunity to walk through and connect one-on-one with individuals whose talents align with their workforce needs.
This approach allows businesses to efficiently identify promising talent, evaluate real-world skills, and start building connections with future employees, especially those ready to work, train, and continue developing in their industry.
Business Participation: YCDA encourages local businesses to participate and meet with local talent who have demonstrated achievement of transferable skills. As a hiring business, you will:
- Meet with participants who will demonstrate their technical, creative, and professional skills
- Learn about the career goals and capabilities of young people interested in joining the regional workforce.
- Make early connections with potential hires—before they enter the job market.
Businesses interested in attending should reserve their spot early. Employers from all industries are welcome and encouraged to attend. Contact YCDA to learn more.
This program is made possible thanks to YCDA’s investors, the Community Reinvestment Project funded through South Central Workforce, and grants from the Washington Economic Development Finance Authority (WEDFA) and The Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA).
