YCDA  joined the other members of the Eastern Washington Economic Development Alliance (EWEDA) to participate in this year’s World Ag Expo (WAE) – the world’s largest annual agricultural exposition. As part of the six member team promoting Eastern Washington YCDA was able to connect with roughly 50 companies that are either building a presence in our region, or want to do so in the near future.

Historically the WAE has been a significant and productive business recruitment and prospecting trip, where YCDA makes valuable connections with companies in related industry clusters across the agricultural spectrum, from emerging technologies to equipment manufacturers, to product suppliers, and logistic specialists.

Our last visit to the WAE was in early 2020 before COVID changed the tradeshow landscape. We were able to tell our Yakima Valley agribusiness story to hundreds of decision makers resulting in over thirty recruitment leads and business connections for Yakima Valley companies. We will keep you posted on the results of this year’s efforts.
