Accelerator Programs
The Yakima County Development Association (YCDA) is proud to offer comprehensive business accelerator programs designed to foster economic development an support the business community across Yakima County.
These programs, including the Construction Business Accelerator and the Bilingual Business Accelerator, provide targeted assistance and resources to help businesses overcome challenges, achieve sustainable growth, and contribute to the overall economic vitality of the region. By equipping businesses with essential tools and knowledge, YCDA’s accelerator program play a vital role in building a stronger, more resilient economy.
The Construction Business Accelerator Program is a collaborative initiative by the Yakima County Development Association (YCDA) and the Associated General Contractors of Washington (AGC), designed to support and empower local construction businesses in Yakima County. This program will equip construction professionals with tools and resources to overcome industry challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

This program is funded through the Community Reinvestment Project by South Central Workforce and a grant from the Washington Economic Development Finance Authority (WEDFA).
The Bilingual Business Accelerator supports businesses in their second phase of their development, offered in both English and Spanish. It targets businesses that are at least two years old, have fewer than 30 employees, and have active growth plans needing additional assistance. The program aims to impact around 70 businesses by providing at least five hours of direct 1:1 assistance.
The program will include modules on Financial/Digital Education, HR Management, Real Estate, Marketing and Promotion, and Financing. The modules will cover essential topics such as managing financial resources, hiring employees, understanding leases and preparing for loans.
